ACM NYCWiC 2026
Join us for the 2026 edition of NYCWiC, the ACM New York Celebration of Women in Computing, which will be held on April 10-11, 2026, in Albany, NY. NYCWiC’s mission is to promote the academic, social, and professional growth of technical women in the State of New York.
We invite presentation proposals in the following subject categories:
Research: academic research efforts, completed or in progress.
Others: any topics relevant to the conference’s mission, e.g., student organization efforts, community outreach, career development, technical development, etc.
Each presentation can take one of the following forms:
Poster: printed poster and a 30-second elevator pitch; ideal for academic work in progress.
Talk: 20-minute oral presentation with additional time for discussion; ideal for more mature academic work.
Panel: 60-minute group discussion; ideal for broad-interest topics.
Workshop: 60-minute session intended to teach a useful skill; ideal for career development and technical topics.
Submissions take the form of abstracts of no more than 500 words.
Submissions are open to all but student posters and talks are especially welcome, from first-time presenters even more so. Prizes will be awarded to the best student posters.
If you have questions, would like to propose a different kind of activity or session, or volunteer to help with the organization or running of NYCWiC, please contact nycwic@googlegroups.com.
