By train
The Amtrak/Metro-North station is less than a mile from the hotel: Poughkeepsie, NY (POU) | AmtrakBy car
Poughkeepsie is about 1.5 hours south of Albany and 1.5 hours north of NYC. Parking is available at the hotel.

How To Register to Attend NYCWiC 2025
Thanks for your interest in NYCWiC 2025! This guide provides step-by-step instructions to register to attend the conference. By way of example, we register a fictious student named Anne Smith.
I Do Not Have an Account (not I Already Have an Account)
Step 1. Go to our conference registration site: https://conftool.org/nycwic2025/. Since you do not have an account, follow the Create account and register for conference link.
Step 2. As someone who has not been in the system before, enter your contact information and go to the next step.
Step 3. Complete the account creation process by entering a user name and password. Then press the “Submit and Begin With Participant Registration” button and go to the Registering to Attend section.
I Already Have an Account
Step 1. Go to our conference registration site: https://conftool.org/nycwic2025/. Enter your user name and password then click the Login button.
Step 2. As an author with an account, you can follow the Register as Participant link and continue to the next section.
Registering to Attend
Step 1. With your account created, you can register to attend. You can register in one of 6 categories.
Sponsored Student – Select this if you will be attending NYCWiC as a student from a sponsoring school. You must have a Discount Code from your school that allows you to attend free of charge. The discount code should start with NYCWIC- and end with a series of numbers. One discount code per attendee.
Sponsored Faculty or Industry – Select this if you will be attending NYCWiC as faculty and industry from a sponsoring organization. Like above, you must have a Discount Code.
Student – Select this if you will be attending as a student.
Recent Graduate – Select this if you will be attending within 1 year of graduation.
Faculty – Select this if you will be attending as a faculty member.
Industry – Select this if you will be attending as a member of industry.
Step 2. Depending on the registration type selected in the previous step, you will be presented with further registration options. Here we show the options for Student registration. Note that this year hotel stay is not included in conference registration, you will need to make your own accommodation.
Step 3. Next you will select payment options.
For sponsored individuals with discount codes, you will not need to pay.
If someone else will be handling payment, for example your school, please select Use an alternative address and enter where we should send the invoice.
Payment can be made via PayPal (preferred) or you can mail us a check.
Step 4. Here you confirm your registration. If you are paying via PayPal, you will be provided a PayPal link after this step. Otherwise, we will email an invoice to the party handling payment.
Step 5. There is no Step 5, you are now registered for the conference. Be sure to find accommodation for the conference! We’ll see you in April!
