Dear 2020 New York Celebration of Women in Computing (NYCWiC) presenters, sponsors, vendors and friends,

We are writing to inform you that NYCWiC 2020 in Poughkeepsie on April 3-4, 2020 will be postponed due to the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Since NYCWiC 2019 when we announced our move to Poughkeepsie, we have prepared for, reviewed proposals, recruited speakers, and built a great program for us to share together this spring.

Sadly, the current situation with the spread of Coronavirus in recent weeks now prevents us from gathering together this spring. We are now working with the organizing team and the venue to find a new date. We do not have all the details but will share those as we work through everything. We wanted to let you know as soon as the decision had been made, especially given the uncertainty around us.

Please be safe and stay tuned. If you have made your own hotel accommodations and/or travel plans, please cancel those. We will be in touch about registration fees and sponsor support. In the coming weeks we will share updates both on our website (https://nycwic.org/) and our Facebook group(https://www.facebook.com/NYCWIC/).
